We are looking for a skilled Top Secret cleared AWS DevOps Engineer to play a key role in the build, integration, deployment, and long-term support of mission-critical applications. This role is 100% on-site in Chantilly, VA and requires a minimum of active Top Secret clearance to be considered.
Manage and enhance the deployment of microservices using a DevSecOps pipeline within a Linux-based, multi-tenant cloud environment.
Design, maintain, and improve GitLab CI/CD pipeline scripts.
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Docker containers in production and development environments.
Perform code reviews within Git repositories and generate or refine technical documentation when needed.
Support developers during deployments and provide guidance on microservices integration.
Assist with testing activities across various environments.
Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive DevOps documentation.
Address and remediate security vulnerabilities identified through scans.
Contribute to additional tasks or projects as directed.
Highly motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Background in custom code development and code review practices.
Hands-on experience with GitLab features, scripting, and troubleshooting error codes.
Proficiency with AWS technologies and services, including CloudFormation, S3, ECS, and EKS.
Knowledge of AWS serverless solutions such as Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, and auto-scaling.
Experience supporting developer testing and working with cloud-based systems.
Familiarity with DevSecOps workflows, methodologies, and best practices.
Proven ability to create and manage CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of software development and sustainment processes.
Experience working with collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
Active Top Secret security clearance, with eligibility to obtain a CI Polygraph post-hire.
Expertise with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Practical experience with AWS Lambda and AWS ECS.
Strong background in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Docker-based environments.
AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
Linux-related certifications.
Experience with ArcGIS or other geospatial technologies.
