Position Overview:As our Facility Maintenance & Repair Technician, you are a critical part of our operations team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all Paws At Play locations (Raleigh, Gresham Lake, and Youngsville), Red Dog Strong Strength & Conditioning, and Wake Forest Ninja Academy are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and appearance. Your work helps create an environment where both our human and canine clients feel safe, welcome, and cared for.
Daily and Weekly Responsibilities:
Conduct walkthroughs at each facility to assess maintenance needs.
Complete basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, paint, etc.) as needed.
Log all repairs, maintenance requests, and completed work, attach receipts.
Facility Presentation and Upkeep:
Maintain a clean and professional appearance of all buildings and grounds.
Power wash walkways and exteriors, remove trash or debris, and ensure clear signage.
Assist with moving, assembling, or disassembling equipment or furniture when necessary.
Landscaping & Outdoor Care: (Business will provide all necessary lawn maintenance equipment)
Mow, weed, trim, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas.
Seasonal tasks such as mulching, planting, and leaf/snow removal as needed.
Safety Responsibilities:
Identify and resolve safety hazards immediately.
Perform regular checks on fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, exit signage, and overall safety compliance.
Communicate with management regarding any facility-related safety concerns.
Equipment Maintenance:
Keep gym and ninja equipment in working order through regular inspections and tune-ups.
Maintain kennel hardware, washer/dryers, bathing stations, HVAC units, and other key systems.
Project Work:
Support larger renovation or improvement projects when needed.
Serve as point of contact for vendors or contractors completing major work.
Emergency Availability:
Be available for urgent or after-hours issues when required, particularly those that impact animal care, HVAC, or client access.
Job Expectations & Requirements:
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace.
Represent the company professionally when interacting with staff, clients, or contractors.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a related role.
Proficient with tools and general maintenance tasks.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work in outdoor conditions, and drive between locations.

Important Reminders:
Submit maintenance logs, receipts and updates weekly.
Notify your supervisor promptly if tools, materials, or contractor services are needed.
Maintain strong communication with team leaders at each facility.
Safety is your top priority—report all hazards immediately.
Job will include general maintenance and repair of facilities as well as projects on occasion such as sheetrock, woodworking, tile work and basic plumbing repair.
