Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your materials engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in advancing the design, reliability, and safety of Automated People Mover (APM) systems. We’ll look to you for:
Acting as the local specialist and referent for materials engineering topics related to APM Vehicle Engineering,
Supporting the technical team in preparing and validating specifications for metallic and composite materials, as well as testing (destructive and non-destructive),
Contributing to the validation of standard parts (fabricated, welded, molded, and forged) for all projects by inspection,
Implementing product updates, evaluating engineering solutions, and managing product changes,
Presenting and supporting reviews for materials-related values, including environmental and fire safety information,
Identifying and confirming compliance of x-ray films and shoot plans for functional parts with specifications,
Assisting purchasing teams and supplier quality inspection teams, including participating in supplier process audits and following up on manufacturing processes as needed.

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Degree in Materials Engineering and/or Physics or similar,
Ideally specialized in non-destructive testing (NDT), welding, fiberglass, and coatings,
Experience or understanding of metallic materials and their fabrication processes,
Knowledge of material norms, testing methods, and industry standards, such as NFPA-130 and ASCE-21,
Familiarity with composites, protective coatings, and platings,
Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods (e.g., magnetic particle inspection, ultrasound, x-ray),
Proactive mindset for quality improvement and compliance,
Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate root causes and propose solutions.
Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
Work with cutting-edge materials and innovative engineering processes, including metallic and composite materials, non-destructive testing, and protective coatings,
Progress towards becoming a key technical expert in materials engineering, contributing to sustainable transit solutions and advancing your leadership in cross-functional projects,
Utilise our dynamic and inclusive working environment that fosters continuous learning, adaptability, and collaboration,
Contribute to innovative projects,
Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, 401k).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
