Large Format printing experience not required but is a plus. SpeedPro Shawnee is a large format digital print STUDIO, we’re all about Great, Big, Graphics. We specialize in custom production of large format, high-resolution graphics. We design, print, and install a wide variety of media to create stunning point of purchase signage, event graphics, trade show displays/exhibits, posters, wall murals, retail window films/graphics, vehicle wraps, outdoor banners and more. SpeedPro works with clients to take their visual communications to the next level and do it with the highest level of customer service, professionalism, and quality. SpeedPro Shawnee is looking for a fulltime Print Technician that is a driven, multi-tasker with a great attitude and strong work ethic…willing to learn all production aspects of large format digital printing and finishing. Additionally, the candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with others to run our digital graphic printing and finishing processes. Experience with large format printers, laminators and vinyl cutting is a plus, but not required. Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator is required. Must be intuitive and able to think through project production from inception to completion. Must be able to think four steps ahead. Position is 80% PRINT PRODUCTION and 20% design. Must be quick, creative and proficient with design when design is needed. The Primary Focus Of The Position Manage all aspects day-to-day printing, laminating and finishing processes File prep, proofing, printing, mounting and laminating Maintain and tightly manage work flow and scheduling to meet customer deadlines Continually maintain a high level of product quality and craftsmanship Communication with clients to finalize proofs Review and quickly modify design files as needed to ensure the best printing results Innovate and embrace project challenges to find best and most cost-effective solution Clean and maintain printing, plotter and lamination equipment Maintain a clean and well organize print and production environment Candidate Characteristics Must be coachable Must work well in a small team environment Mechanically intuitive Solid understanding of graphic design Fast mover with a sense of urgency Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously Attention to production costs/efficiencies. Must have a “can-do” attitude – absolutely no place for negative attitude Must be able to lift 50-80 pounds multiple times daily. The successful candidate will be a team player and be flexible enough to address last minute changes and to work as part of a team. This is a full-time position and may require occasional schedule flexibility with night and/or weekend work for rush (and/or large) jobs/projects. Experience Requirements Graphic design proficiency with the Adobe Suite is required, Primarily Adobe Illustrator. File prep, proofs, printing Creative and knowledge of design concepts Strong attention to detail fused with great multi-tasking ability Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Creative Thinker and a Problem Solver Ability and willingness to both learn and follow instructions The right candidate will have great opportunity to excel, grow and play an important role within our print shop team.
