Job Title: Roller Sports Administrator

Location: Pepsi Roller Sports Arena – Colorado Springs, CO

Job Type: Full-Time (on-site)

Salary Range: Competitive salary with benefits and two weeks paid leave annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience & qualifications.

Job Summary:

The Roller Sports Administrator is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of roller sports programs, events, and activities within the organization. This role ensures the smooth operation of roller sports disciplines (artistic roller skating, inline hockey, rink hockey, and speed skating) while promoting participation, safety, and compliance with governing body regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, passionate about roller sports, and skilled in administrative and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

· Program Management:  Assist directors with ongoing development, implementation, and management of roller sports programs, including recreational, competitive and training initiatives, to promote engagement and growth.

· Event Coordination:  Lead in the planning and execution of roller sports events, such as tournaments, clinics, workshops, meets, ensuring proper scheduling, venue setup and logistics. 

· Compliance & Safety:  Support risk management efforts to ensure all activities adhere to safety standards, rules, and regulations set by relevant governing bodies (e.g. National Roller Sports Association).

· Stakeholder Engagement:  Collaborate with sport directors, venue operators, coaches, athletes, officials, sponsors, and community organizations to foster partnerships and support program goals.

· Financial Oversight:  Manage budgets, secure funding or sponsorships, and track expenses related to roller sports programs and events.

· Marketing & Promotion:  Work with marketing teams to promote roller sports activites through social media, newsletters, and community outreach to increase participation and visibility.

· Membership & Registration:  Oversee participant registration, membership databases, and communication with athletes and their families.

· Venue Coordination:  Liaise with venue managers and operators to ensure availability for scheduled activities, and adequate staff/volunteers.

Qualifications:

· Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Experience:  2+ years of experience in sports administration, event planning, or program management, preferably in roller sports or a related field.

· Knowledge:  Strong understanding of amateur sports organization operations and relevant governing body regulations.

 

Skills:

 

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and event management software.

· Budgeting and financial management experience.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Other Possible Requirements:

· Ability to lift and move equipment (e.g., rink barriers, sports gear, or other equipment up to 40 lbs.)

· Occasional work will be required on weekends, with a flexible work schedule as necessary to meet company goals. Travel to local, regional, or national events or facilities may be required.
